Complete the Optional Application for Federal Employment (OF-612) and submit with a completed Declaration for Federal Employment (OF-306). If you are applying for a Child Development Program or School Age Program, you would also need to complete the Acknowledgement for Rights and Consent to Release Records form. A copy of a high school or GED diploma must be submitted with applications for Child Development or School Age positions. Describe your work background, all of your work if less than 10 years or at least 10 years experience; specifically need job interest-related experience. Resume’ can be attached.
HIRING PREFERENCE: The documents identified for Military Spouse Preference, Transition Hiring Preference, and Veterans Preference must be attached to each application to receive hiring priority consideration.
MILITARY SPOUSE: If claiming Military Spouse Preference, you must submit a copy of your military sponsor’s Permanent Change of Station orders which identifies you as the accompanying spouse.
VETERANS: Prior military service and seeking Veteran’s Preference for employment, you will be required to provide a copy of the Member’s Copy-4 of the DD-214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, with your application.
TRANSITION HIRING: If you and/or any of your dependents are claiming Transition Hiring Preference, you must submit a copy of the DD 214-Member’s Copy-4 identifying you as a “TAMP Eligible”. A copy of the “TA” stamped identification card, both sides, is also required.
DEFINITION OF CATEGORIES:
REGULAR: Guaranteed 20 to 40 hours per week, as specified by the supervisor. Benefits such as insurance and leave are available for Regular Category appointments.
FLEXIBLE: Zero to 40 hours per week as needed by the organization, NO guaranteed hours. No benefits are available for Flexible Category appointments. Applicants without identification card for entry to Nellis Air Force Base must call for application and may submit their package by mail.
